Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Immediately remove to fresh air.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes with clean water for several minutes and

immediately call a physician.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and thoroughly wash the

affected parts of the body with soap and water, including

hair and under fingernails. Persons providing first aid must

wear gloves to avoid self contamination.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Powder, foam, carbon dioxide or waterspray may be used (do

not use direct jet of water)

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may include oxides of carbon and

sulfur.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: use respirator to protect from fumes

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Product Disposal:

Pay attention to protective clothing and measures. Dampen

solid material carefully to prevent it being blown away.

Collect material in specially marked, tightly closing

containers. Treat contaminated surfaces with water. Collect

washings in containers, to avoid any contamination of

surface and ground water, water supplies and drains. Hose

down the area for a prolonged period. Heavily contaminated

soil layers have to be dug out down to clean soil. Spilled

product cannot be used further and must be disposed of. If

safe disposal is not possible, contact the manufacturer, the

dealer or the local representative and dispose of in an

incinerator approved for chemicals.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid inhalation

of dust and vapours. Do not eat, drink or smoke while

working. In addition to the measures taken usually in the

chemical works like dustproof filling and measuring

equipment (including dust extraction), further personal

protection measures may have to be implemented to avoid

possible contact with the product. Wear suitable protective

gloves, goggles or face-shield, gas mask with dust filter,

or air-supplied hood or airsuit.  Also heavy duty cotton or

synthetic fabric working clothing, shoe or boots.  Change

working clothes daily. Exposed operating positions must have

an efficient local exhaust source, working areas must be

well ventilated.

Wash thoroughly (shower, bathe, wash hair). Change clothing.

Thoroughly clean protective gear. Clean respirator or

gasmask, change filter. Thoroughly clean contaminated

equipment with soap or soda solution.

Storage: Protect from light and humidity. Store the product in closed

original containers.

Store separately from feed, food and stimulants.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance is supplied in 200 litre polyethylene-lined

steel drums.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Residues, cleaning solutions and un-cleaned containers must

be disposed of as hazardous waste.

Recovery for recycling is not possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not suitable for deposit in landfill site.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerator approved for chemicals.  Stack gases should be

scrubbed, because noxious fumes (eg Carbon and Nitrogen

oxides and chlorine containing compounds) could be formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not suitable for a water purification

system.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None proposed

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable, the substance will not enter the public

domain.
