Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air. Keep victim warm and at

rest. If breathing is irregular obtain medical attention

immediately. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms

persist, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Eyelids should be

held away from the eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. Seek

medical advise.

Emergency measure - Skin: Flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes

while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, fire extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide or foam.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus, protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal precautions

Avoid inhalation of dusts. Use appropriate respirator

breathing apparatus. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and

clothing. Wear suitable gloves. Wear suitable protective

clothing.

Environmental precautions

Avoid dust generation. Isolate spill area.

Methods for cleaning up

Shovel up. Collect as much as possible in a clean container

for reuse or disposal. Rinse remnant with plenty of water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Handling

Avoid inhalation of dusts. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or

clothing. Wash hands and/or face before taking a break or

leaving work. Never weigh out in the storage room.

Do not eat, drink or smoke in the application area. Keep

working clothes separately and do not take them home.

Engineering controls

Ensure good ventilation and local exhaust ventilation of the

working area. If these measures are not sufficient, suitable

respiratory protection must be worn.

Personal protection

Respiratory   :   Use appropriate breathing apparatus.

Hands         :   Wear suitable gloves.

Eye           :   Wear safety goggles.

Skin and body :   Wear suitable protective clothing: special

overalls, tight fitting at neck, ankles

and wrists and head covered. Change     daily.

After handling bulk quantities, showering is recommended.

Storage: Store in well closed containers protected from light and

moisture, at 15 - 25 °C.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 70 litre steel drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: The dry product can be ignited by low energy discharge

sparks (miminum ignition energy [MIE]: <= 3mJ);

The dry product can easily become electrostatically charged

by contact charging (volume resistivity [vol.res.]:

2*10exp12 Ohm.m).

Chemical reaction with water: none reported.

Dust explosion: MIE: <= 3 mJ;

vol.res.: 2*10exp12 Ohm.m

Avoid dust generation. Take precautionary measures against

static discharges.

Dust explosion determined by test: Y

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Re-cycling

The re-cycling of the used substance is possible.

Spillage

Recovery and re-use is possible by collecting as much as

possible in a clean container. Before re-use the substance

has to be resolved and recrystallized.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not specified.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is recommended way of disposal. According to

Federal-, State- or Local Laws. The produced waste-gases are

common to the incineration of nitrogen-containing organic

substances.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: If used in the envisaged manner only small amounts of the

substance will be discharged into the waste-water, which

will be removed in a waste-water treatment.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance does not enter the public domain.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable
