Description of key information

This product is not auto flammable.
Aluminium sulphate is inorganic solid substance and according“ ANNEX VII - STANDARD INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBSTANCES MANUFACTURED OR IMPORTED IN QUANTITIES OF ONE TONNE OR MORE” the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is solid and preliminary results exclude self-heating of the substance up to 400 °C.

Additional information

Auto Flammability

Aluminim sulphate belongs to the Following Reactive Group:Salts, Acidic Inorganic/Organic.There are 271 chemical datasheets assigned to this reactive group.

Reactive groups are categories of chemicals that typically react in similar ways because they are similar in their chemical structure. Each substance with a chemical datasheet has been assigned to one or more reactive groups, and CAMEO Chemicals uses the reactive group assignments to make its reactivity predictions.

Aluminim sulphate is from the group of Inorganic salt and do not contain an organic materials. Inorganic salts are generally noncombustible and non auto flammable as well. Only salts containing organic groups are in principle combustible and auto flammable, although they may burn with difficulty.

Aluminim sulphate may burn, but will not ignite.(United Nations Environment Programme, IRTPC data profile on aluminium sulphate, March 1992: "noncombustible").
