Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling temperature determination was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry. The method employed was designed to be compatible with OECD TG 103.

Aliquots of test item were placed in aluminium crucibles and were heated up from 20 °C to 450 °C at a rate of 20 °C/min. Boiling did not go to completion, with the remaining residue indicating clear decomposition during the boiling process under all test conditions. As decomposition was evident under both air and nitrogen atmospheres, this was most likely a thermal process, as opposed to oxidative.

The boiling temperature range of the test item was determined to be 172 to 179 °C (445 to 450 K).
