Description of key information

2,4-dichloronitrobenzene as the main constituent of the substance has no oxidizing properties. For second main constituent of the substance data not yet available, but 2,6-dichloronitrobenzene as homologous substance is also considered as not oxidising.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

In each of the five runs, the average burning time of the individual 2, 4-Dichloronitrobenzene / cellulose mixtures is considerable longer than the reference value.

2,4-dichloronitrobenzene has no oxidising properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

2,4–dichloronitrobenzene as the main constituent of the substance has no oxidising properties and hence no classification according to both Directive 67/548/EEC and CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008 is required.

For second main constituent of the substance data not yet available, but 2,6-dichloronitrobenzene as homologous substance is also considered as not oxidising.
