Description of key information
The following results were determined for the test item reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene
3h EC50 = 3000 mg/L (95% confid. interval: > 590 mg/L)

The EC20 value, EC50 value and the NOEC for the inhibition of the respiration in activated sludge of reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene
was measured according to OECD 209, respectively EU C.11 guideline under GLP. Following results were obtained:
3h NOEC = 10 mg/L.
3h EC20 = 330 mg/L (95% confid. interv.: 40 - 1800 mg/L)
3h EC50 = 3000 mg/L (95% confid. interval: > 590 mg/L)
These values are not used for classification and labelling since no endpoint exists for toxicity to microorganisms. In the risk assessment,
the EC50 value is used for the calculation of the PNEC for microorganisms in sewage treatment plants (PNEC STP).Information on Registered Substances comes from registration dossiers which have been assigned a registration number.
