Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Valid acute toxicity tests with the test substance are available for three freshwater species from three trophic levels. The studies show that freshwater algae are the least sensitive species. The two valid studies show that the ErC50 and ErC10 are above the water solubility of the test item (> 2 mg/L). Freshwater fish and invertebrates show relatively similar sensitivity to short term exposure of the test substance: A 96 hour study with zebra fish resulted in an LC50 value of 1.9 mg/L based on mean measured concentrations and a 48 hour immobilisation study with daphnids resulted in an EC50 value of 1.6 mg/L. The lowest L(E)C50 value of the three studies (Daphnia EC50 = 1.6 mg/L) is used in the hazard assessment and for derivation of aquatic PNECs.

A valid respiratory inhibition study with activated sludge is available: The substance did not inhibit the microbial activity in activated sludge up to a nominal concentration of 1000 mg/L over a period of 3 hours resulting in a NOEC value of equal to or greater than 1000 mg/L.
