Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Reliable measured data for simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water or sediment is not available. However, a waiver is being applied for simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water and ultimate degradation in sediment.

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, further biotic degradation testing does not need to be proposed if the chemical safety assessment does indicates there is no need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation products. It is proposed that testing is waived as exposure potential is unlikely. Also, the substance’s low hydrophilicity is demonstrated by the very low log octanol-water partition coefficient (Log Kow) of 0.077 at a neutral pH and low Koc (0.517) indicating low adsorptive potential. Therefore, acetone oxime is considered to have low potential for absorption to soil and sediment and no testing is necessary based on unlikely exposure. Identification of degradation products (required in Section 9.2.3) is also not necessary.
