Description of key information

Boiling point (decamethyltetrasiloxane): 194°C (Handbooks)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
194 °C

Additional information

There are three reliable data for the boiling point of decamethyltetrasiloxane. Boiling point of 194°C was reported for the substance in handbooks of reliable data which have been subject to peer review and in which the original sources are traceable. The result is considered reliable and used in a weight of evidence approach. In available secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, boiling point values of 193.9°C and 194 - 195°C were reported for the substance.
