First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical
attention if ill effects occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding
theeyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. Obtain
medicalattention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash
skinimmediately with water. Obtain immediate
medical attention. Contaminated clothing should be
washed before re-issue.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide.
Keep fire exposed containers cool by spraying with water.

Product arising from burning: Copious amounts of flammable vapours.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure suitable personal protection during removal
ofspillages. Clear up spillages. Transfer to a
container for disposal.Wash the spillage area clean.
Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or
watercourses.Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into
watercourses mustbe alerted to the appropriate regulatory
body.

Handling and storage

Handling: Control dust formation. Take precautionary measures
againststatic discharges. Avoi
dcontact with skin and eyes. Wear eye/face
protection, suitable gloves and suitable protective clothing.
Do notbreathe dust from the dried product. Wear
suitablerespiratory protective equipment if exposure to high
levelsof material are likely.

Storage: Keep container tightly closed.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: In standard 210 litre metal drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None reported.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported.

Dust explosion: The dried material may form flammable dust clouds in air.
Dust clouds of the substance have a minimum
ignitiontemperature of 500 - 550 Deg C; minimum ignition
energy of10 - 25 mJ, and train fire slowly with flames.

Dust explosion determined by test: Y

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: It is not possible to recover or recycle the used substance.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: It is not possible to neutralise the substance.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the preferred method of disposal.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Treatment via an aqueous biotreatment system isinappropriate
due to the low solubility of the substance inwater.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
