Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Thermal stability

Two DSC-measurements in closed glass crucibles with the test item showed an exothermal effect in the temperature range of 140 – 350 °C with a maximum energy release of 348 J/g. The results are summarised in Table1.

Explosive properties

The heat of decomposition was below 500 J/g. Therefore the main test on explosive properties was not necessary.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The heat of decomposition (DSC-Screening) was below 500 J/g. Therefore the main test on explosive properties was not necessary.
Executive summary:

The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.

Description of key information

The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive
