Conclusion on classification

No toxicity was observed to fish, aquatic invertebrates or algae up to the limit of aqueous solubility of the test material. As such, no classification under the CLP regulation for acute aquatic toxicity is required. As no chronic toxicity data are available, chronic toxicity was assessed using aquatic acute toxicity test data, biodegradation and Log Kow data. As the test substance is poorly water soluble with no toxicity observed in the acute toxicity tests; up to the limit of water solubility and the test substance is not rapidly biodegradable this may be considered grounds for concern. However, the test substance is not expected to bioaccumulate in the environment (experimentally determined log Kow value < 4) and therefore in accordance with the CLP regulation classification for chronic aquatic toxicity is not warranted for this substance.


In conclusion, the substance is not considered to be classified for aquatic toxicity under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, as amended for the seventeenth time in Regulation (EU) 2021/849.
