All aquatic toxicity studies were performed in accordance with
internationally-accepted test guidelines and Good Laboratory Practice
(GLP) standards. They are considered reliable without restrictions and
the results are suitable for purposes of Risk Assessment, Classification
& Labeling, and PBT Analysis. Fish toxicity testing results are very
similar, with the key study chosen due to a slightly more conservative
result and slightly clearer documentation. Results are reproduced below.
FBSEE diol will be rapidly converted to FBSEE diacid (see section
5.2.1). Fish (Pimephales promelas), Daphnia magna, and green algae
(Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) were tested with FBSEE diacid, with
fish and daphnid experiments done as limit tests. In all cases, no
toxicity was observed at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L.
