Description of key information

The substance is a white crystalline powder with a melting point >300 deg. Celsius, a bulk density of 0.432 g/ml (by the pour method) and 0.766 g/ml (by the tap method), is soluble in water with a water solubility of 11.1 g/L and is insoluble in n-octanol, and thus has an octanol-water partition coefficient (Log Pow) of -2.00. The substance is expected to have a negligible vapour pressure but inhalable sized dust particles can be generated during handling as evidenced by a measured mass median aerodynamic diameter of <105 microns. The substance has no significant surfactant properties as demonstrated by a measured surface tension of 71.2 mN/m, is non-flammable, non-explosive, and is not an oxidiser.
