Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
adopted by the council on 27th July 1995
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
other: preliminary test
Water solubility:
> 1 000 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
1 000 g/L
Temp.:
20.9 °C
Remarks on result:
completely miscible
Details on results:
Taking the visual observations into account, the preliminary test indicated that the test item was highly soluble in water: water solubility higher than 1000 g/L.
As no saturation conditions were determined during the preliminary test, the main testing was not performed because the quantity of the test item necessary to saturate the desired volume of distilled water was not estimated and consequently, the analytical method: Analytical protocol FCBA Chemistry No.394-e version 1: Method for the chemical analysis of Copper (Cu) containing in the test item “Copper diethylenetriamine sulfate” in water samples from OECD 105 testing by ICP/OES referred to in paragraph 4.2 was not implemented.
Conclusions:
Based on a preliminary test, the estimated solubility of test item “Copper diethylenetriamine sulfate” in water at ambient temperature was higher than 1000 g/L.
Executive summary:

The aim of this study was to determine experimentally the water solubility on the test itemCopper diethylenetriamine sulfateaccording to the OECD 105 guideline.

The study was carried out in accordance with the study plan No.17/1196F/e dated January 19, 2018. There was no deviation and no amendment during this study.

The results of this study are summarized below:
The water solubility of the test item was evaluated in a preliminary test. The estimation of solubility was performed after
shaking (10 min at vortex) and visual assessment of the solubility.

Taking the visual observations into account, the preliminary test indicated that the test item was highly soluble in water: water solubility higher than 1000 g/L.

As no saturation conditions were determined during the preliminary test, the main test (flask method) was not performed.

Conclusion:The solubility estimated of test item “Copper diethylenetriamine sulfatein water at ambient temperature was higher than 1000 g/L.
