In the boiling point determination, a single endothermic signal was recorded. The peak profiles are a little spread, this may be due to the complex nature of the substance, and/or size of the hole in the commercial crucible top which generates a little evaporation before the boiling point. This early evaporation does not impact the accuracy of the boiling point since it is determined at the peak maximum.

The triplicate determinations are out of the estimated accuracy of +/-0.5°C (according to the guidelines) at the same atmospheric pressure of 100.2-100.3 kPa; therefore a range is stated for the boiling transition. This is also consistent with the complex nature, since this result may vary slightly with the substance composition.

For each boiling point assay, the crucible is weighted before and after filling and after measurement to validate that all the sample is vaporized. The weights of the three crucibles are the same before filling and after measurement, the test item is totally (>98.5%) evaporated during the measurement.

Executive summary:

The boiling point of the test substance was determined according to OECD103/EU A.2 guideline, using Differential Scanning Calorimetry method.

Three main runs were performed, under nitrogen flow; since results were out of accuracy and the substance is a multi-constituent, the range of peak temperatures was retained.

The boiling range of the test substance has been determined to be 293.4 - 295.3 °C.
