 The retention time for the test substance was greater than that of DDT for pH 5, 7 and 9 and when the result was extrapolated based the calibration line, the mean log Koc was 6.5 for pH 5, 7 and 9. This demonstrates that the pH had no effect on the adsorption coefficient. The standard with the highest log Koc is DDT at 5.63 so no degree of certainty can be attached to the extrapolated value of 6.5 value. The log Koc is therefore considered to be >5.63.
