- General advice: Consult a physician. Show safety data sheet of the substance to the attending doctor.
- Following inhalation: In case of inhalation, remove from contaminated atmosphere and seek medical attention if respiratory irritation occurs.
- Following skin contact: May cause skin irritation; flush with water and soap.
- Following eye contact: May cause eye irritation; wash with plenty of water.
- Following ingestion: Rinse mouth with water, consult a physician.
- Most important symptoms and effects: Harmful if swallowed.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Use standard firefighting techniques; use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: None.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Release of carbon oxides.
- Advice for fire fighter: As with all fires, evacuate personnel to safe area. Firefighters should use self-contained breathing equipment and protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Any person entering a spill area or an unknown concentration of dust, should use a suitable dust respirator.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures: see above.
- Environmental precautions: The substance is not soluble in water and floats on water.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Remove the substance by vacuum cleaner and dispose in waste container according to state, local laws.
