Preliminary Test
The preliminary estimate of water solubility was ≤1.3 x 10-4 g/L at 20 °C.

Validation
The linearity of the detector response with respect to concentration was assessed over the nominal concentration range of 0.01 to 1.00 mg/L. The results were satisfactory with a first order correlation coefficient (r) of 0.9997 being obtained.

Discussion
As the water solubility was determined during the preliminary test to be below 1 x 10^-2 g/L and the test item was a solid, the column elution method was performed.
As no test item peak was detectable in the definitive test sample solutions, a limit value has been reported for the water solubility of the test item. The limit value reported originated from the nominal standard solution concentration (5.0 x 10^-5 g/L) used for analysis of the definitive test sample solutions, corrected for the dilution factor (2).
