Test no.:
#1
Temp.:
20 °C
Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
Remarks on result:
other: calculated from evaporation rates measured from 132.4-179.6 oC

Vapor pressure of test substance

The evaporation rate of the test substance was measured at 132°C till 180°C:

Temperature [oC]   v20 (g.cm-2.h-1)  log v20
 132.4  8.76x10 -6  -5.058
 151.1  1.97x10 -5  -4.706
 160.5  2.22x10 -5  -4.654
 170.0  3.17x10 -5  -4.499
 179.6  4.31x10 -5  -4.366

Log V(T) = -2617.8* (1/T) + 1.4138

At 20°C:

Log V(20) = -2617.8/293.15 + 1.4138 = -7.516

V20 = 10-7.516 = 3.048 x 10-8 g.cm-2.h-1.

The evaporation rate at 20°C can be calculated from the measured rates between 132°C and 180°C by linear extrapolation of log vT versus 1/T according to equation (2). This results in: v20 = 3.048 x 10-8 g.cm-2.h-1.

Log p(20) = 1.2077 * log V20 + 3.9963 = 1.2077 * (-7.516)+ 3.9963 = -5.081

Vapour pressure of Ligand DOC 6114 at 20°C = p(20) = 10-5.081 = 8.3*10-6 Pa

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure was determined according to EC Regulation No 761/2009 (July 23, 2009), Guideline A.4 [1] in accordance with European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a, Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008 [2].

The vapour pressure of Ligand DOC 6114 at 20°C is 8.3 10-6 Pa.
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of Ligand DOC 6114 at 20°C is 8.3 10-6 Pa.
