Administrative data

Endpoint:
boiling point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
According to Annex VII, section 7.3, column 2 of Regulation No. 1907/2006, the study does not need to be conducted for solids which either melt above 300°C or decompose before boiling. The test substance decomposes at the melting point of 246°C before boiling and therefore a boiling point study is not required. The decomposition rate increases at higher temperatures. A boiling point cannot be determined as symclosene is not stable enough to reach a well-defined boiling point.
