Details on results:
Due to the presence of two phenol groups, the determination of the partition coefficient was performed at two pH values: pH 2 and pH 7. Indeed, according to the guidelines, the determination of the partition coefficient should be performed on its non-ionized form and preferably also for the dissociated form. At pH 2, the test item is present in its non-ionized form.

The partition coefficient (log Pow) of the test item is 2.4 at pH 2 and pH 7

The partition coefficient of the test item was detemined in a key study of Klimisch validity 1 performed according to recognised guidelines and in compliance with GLP (Brekelmans, 2018).
