Description of key information

The acute toxicity of the test item to Zebra fish (Brachydanio rerio) was determined in a study according to OECD 203. For the limit test a WAF (water accomodated fraction) of 100 mg/L was prepared, the measured concentration was 1.85 mg/L. No toxic effects were observed within 96 h. Therefore, the LC50 is determined to be >100 mg/L (WAF) and 1.85 mg/L (measured concentration) (reference 6.1.1 -1).

The study on toxicity to Daphnia was performed according to GLP and the methods applied are fully compliant with OECD TG 202. Under the conditions of the present study, an aqueous solution of nominal 100 mg/L of the test item revealed no toxicity to daphnids. The 48h EC50 was > 0.0438 mg/L (nominal >100 mg/L) and, thus, could not be determined in this study (reference 6.1.3 -1).

The study on the growth inhibition of the test item to algae was performed according to GLP and the methods applied are fully compliant with OECD TG 201. Under the conditions of the present study, an aqueous solution of nominal 100 mg/L of the test item revealed no toxicity to algae. The 72h EC50 for growth rate and yield were >0.0438 mg/L (nominal >100 mg/L) and, thus, could not be determined in this study (reference 6.1.5 -1).
