Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The solubility of the test item in water and n-octanol was determined separately by visual assessment according to the pretest from OECD 105 (GLP) and the log Pow was calculated from these two values. Test procedure is in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail and therefore, reliability of Klimisch 1 has been assigned. The log Pow of the test item was determined to be ≤ - 3.0 at 21.1 °C.
Executive summary:

For the test item the partition coefficient was not determined according to the Guidelines OECD 107 or 117 because a certain surface activity was suspected, but was calculated based on experimental data as follows: The solubility of the test item in water and n-octanol was determined separately by visual assessment according to the pretest from OECD 105 (GLP). The log Pow was calculated from these two values; the log Pow of the test item was determined to be ≤ - 3.0 at 21.1 °C.
