25 °C
pH:
7.2
Details on results:
The result is the mean value out of three individual measurements. In order to ensure a stable performance of the HPLC column, the column temperature was set to 40 °C. It is assumed that the reference Pow-values in the OECD guideline refer to 25 °C. Even though the column temperature was 40 °C, this temperature has only a negligible influence on the result of the determination. Therefore the Pow-value of the test item determined within this study also refers to 25 °C.

The log Pow value was calculated with the standard software KOWWIN v1.68 assuming the nonionic form. KOWWIN is owned by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. For the test item Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G, the calculated partition coefficient is: log Pow = 3.7. This calculation of the partition coefficient served as a preliminary estimation only.

Conclusions:
The logPow of Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G is determined to be 5.2 at 25°C and a pH of 7.2.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of Macrolex Fluoreszenzrot G was determined by the HPLC-method according to OECD Guideline TG 117. The partition coefficient was found to be log Pow = 5.2 at a pH = 7.2 and 25°C.
