Description of key information
At 20°C and at pH ca. 6.8 the solubilities were found as follows:
840 mg/L with a loading rate of 5.0 g/L
946 mg/L with a loading rate of 10.0 g/L

The determination was performed by flask method according to OECD Guideline 105.
The test item is a complex mixture. In addition to the determination via UV/VIS spectroscopy, the water solubility was also investigated via determination of dissolved amounts of cobalt, nitrogen and carbon, the main elements contained in the test item.
The different results show that the water solubility of the test item is dependent on the method of analysis and the loading rate.
As it is a colourant the values quantified by UV/VIS are considered suitable for covering this endpoint and further assessment, respectively.
