In the temperature range of 100 – 190 °C, an endothermic effect was observed, which was directly followed by an exothermic effect in the temperature range of 190 – 220 °C, with a maximum decomposition energy of -80 J/g. No further thermal effects were observed up to the test end temperature of 500 °C.

To verify the results of the DSC measurement, two additional measurements with the capillary method was performed in the temperature range of 40 - 250 °C with a heating rate of 10 K/min. The test item changed its colour from white to brown starting at a temperature of approx. 178 °C. At a temperature of 184 °C the test item decomposes and expands throughout the capillary. Due to this result, the test item has no boiling point before its decomposition starting at a temperature of about 178 °C.

Conclusions:
The test item Adenosine-5'-monophosphate (AMP) (CAS no. 61-19-8) has no boiling point up to its decomposition starting at a temperature of approx. 178 °C at atmospheric pressure (1010 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.2. and OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).
