Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Three short term aquatic toxicity studies were performed for FR-370 (fish, algae and daphnia). Under the conditions of these studies, no toxicity to any of the tested organisms was detected at the highest concentrations tested, which were above the maximum water solubility of the substance (0.0156mg/L). The results of these studies show values of LC50 / EC50 of 100 mg/l for all the 3 examined organisms. The water solubility value of the substance was taken as EC50/LC50.

Chronic life-cycle toxicity to daphnia magna was performed as a long-term study of aquatic toxicity. After 16-days of exposure, no statistical significant increase in mortality was detected as compared to the control. Hence, the 16-day EC50 value based on nominal test concentration was > 3200 µg/L. No statistical significant decrease in the number of young produced per adult reproductive day was detected as compared to the control. The no-observed effect concentration (NOEC) was 3200 µg/L (nominal concentration), based upon the lack of significant mortality and reproductive differences at this concentration and at lower test concentrations. The LOEC was not determined but was estimated to be > 3200 µg/L (nominal concentration).

The test concentrations in this study were higher than the actual water solubility value (0.0156 mg/l) of the substance, which was taken for chemical safety assessment.

No sediment study is available.
