Conclusions:

Executive summary:

The explosive properties of the test item were determined according to the test method A.14 'Explosive Properties' as described in Directive 440/2008 and according to GLP.

For the sensitivity to shock, a series of six tests was performed dropping the 10 kg mass from 0,4 m (40 J) on the sample of A017 using Bam Fallhammer apparatus. The sample was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J.The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) for the shock(BAM Impact).

To assess the sensitivity to friction, aseries of six tests was performed with a load of 360 N on the sample of A017 using Bam Friction

apparatus. The sample of A017 was observed to exhibit no reaction at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) for the friction.

For the thermal sensitivity a series of three tests with a 6.0 mm diameter orifice plate and a series of three tests with a 2.0 mm

diameter orifice plate were performed on the sample A017 using Koenen tube apparatus. The test item did not exhibit an explosion when submitted to heat. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) for the heat.

In the conditions of the test,  the substance A017 is not mechanical sensitive with respect to the shock and friction, and it is not thermally sensitive. It did not demonstrated explosive properties.
