Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance did not hydrolyse in a preliminary test according to OECD TG 111. Consequently, in contact with water the substance will hydrolyse slowly (half-life ≥12 hours).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The hydrolysis as a function of pH of the test item was determined in a study according to OECD 111 and was GLP-compliant (Henkel AG & Co; KGaA, 2017). In a preliminary test, the test substance was incubated at 50 °C for 5 days at pH values of 4, 7 and 9. Right after sample preparation and after 5 days of incubation, samples were analyzed with NMR after which the spectra were compared. The spectra obtained for the test item did not show any significant differences compared to the spectra obtained directly after sample preparation. There was no evidence for the presence of additional signals, which would indicate hydrolysis of the test item. As less than 10% hydrolysis was observed, the test substance is considered hydrolytically stable.
