Additional information

No experimental data on target substance was available for short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates. Available data on Similar Substance 01 was used in a read across purpose. Details on read across procedure are reported in section 13.

Acute toxicity of the test substance to daphnia magna was determined in a 48-hour static test according to the OECD guideline 202.

Nominal concentrations tested were 100 %, 50 %, 25 %, 12.5 % and 6.25 % of saturated solution obtained from a nominal loading of 100 mg test substance/l. A negative control was also used.

Measured concentrations at time 0 h and 48 h after start of exposure were below the lowest calibration level. At nominal concentration of 25 mg/l, immobilisation of 18/20 daphnids was seen; at higher concentrations, all daphnids were immobile. An EC50 (48h) value of 18.6 mg/l was determined.
