Preliminary test results:

The content of test item in the water sample was 0.22 mg/l after two succesive centrifugation steps. The centrifugation method was checked and was found not to be sufficient to remove all undissolved test item. As the test item concentration is lower than 0.01 g/l (even with the presence of undissolved test item), the column elution method was chosen for the main test.

Main test results:

The coefficient of variation was lower than 30% at the two flow rate used. It demonstrated that the system was equilibrated at all flow rates.

The maximum difference on the mean values at each flow rate was also lower than 30%. Based on this observation, the water solubility of the test item was express as the mean value of these measurements.

The turbidity of the test item samples was lower than 0.2 NTU. According to this, no undissolved particles were detected in theses samples.

Conclusions:
The test item water solubility at 20°C is 387 µg/l with a pH between 6.5 to 6.9.

The test item is considered to be slightly soluble in water at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The test item water solubility was determined with the column elution method according to recognised guidelines and under GLP.

No deviation from these guidelines was observed during the study.

The test item water solubility at 20°C is 387 µg/l with a pH between 6.5 to 6.9.

The test item is considered to be slightly soluble in water at 20°C.

Description of key information

The test item water solubility was determined in an experimental key study (Klimisch validity one, according to recognised guidelines).
