Fire-fighting measures

Specific hazards during fire fighting : If involved in a fire, it may emit noxious and toxic fumes. High concentrations of dust, if generated, may form flammable dust clouds in air. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Suitable extinguishing media :water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters : A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Ensure suitable personal protection (including respiratory protection) during removal of spillages.

Environmental precautions : Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.

Methods for cleaning up : Protect against dust. Clear up spillages. Avoid dust generation. Transfer to a container for disposal. Wash the spillage area clean. Washings must be prevented from entering surface water drains.

Handling and storage

Handling
Advice on protection against fire and explosion : Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Advice on safe handling : Control dust formation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of dust.
