Aquatic toxicity studies with the test material were conducted in fish, invertebrates, algal species, and microorganisms.

For fish, one acute study with rainbow trout and bluegill each and one valid chronic study with rainbow trout were available for assessment. The lowest LC50 for fish was 1.3 mg/L and based on the 96 -hour exposure to rainbow trout. Based on a 96 -day exposure with the rainbow trout, the NOEC was 0.078 mg/L and based on blotted wet weight at test termination.

For invertebrates, two valid acute studies with Daphnia magna were available for assessment. The lowest EC50 was 2.5 mg/L, based on a 48 -hour exposure.

For the algal species, one valid study with Selenastrum capricornutum as the test species was available for assessment. The EC50 and NOEC for the freshwater species was 0.435 mg/L and 0.05 mg/L, respectively and based on growth rate following 72 -hours of exposure.

For microorganisms, an activated sludge respiration inhibition assays was available for assessment. The EC50 was 63.5 mg/L and based on respiration inhibition following 30 minutes of exposure.

Taken together, the lowest aquatic toxicity value for the test material was the 72 -hour NOEC of 0.05 mg/L, based on the 72 -hour growth inhibition test with Selenastrum capricornutum.
