Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Acute aquatic toxicity data are available for 3 trophic levels: an alga, an aquatic invertebrate (daphnia), and a fish (rainbow trout). These studies were all conducted based on the GLP and OECD guidelines. The LC50 and EC50 values in all studies are the following:

1) Fish (Rainbow trout):
The 24-hour LC50 = 17.5 mg/L (95% confidence interval 13.4 – 22.8 mg/L)
The 48-hour LC50 = 10.1 mg/L (95% confidence interval unreliable)
The 72-hour LC50 = 10.1 mg/L (95% confidence interval unreliable)
The 96-hour LC50 = 10.1 mg/L (95% confidence interval unreliable)
The 96-hour NOEC = 3.38 mg/L (Based on the highest concentration exhibiting no significant mortality or sublethal effects)

2) Daphnia:
The 24-hour EC50 = 42.1 mg/L (95% confidence limits not calculable)
The 48-hour EC50 = 16.3 mg/L ( 95% confidence limits 14.4 – 18.3 mg/L)
The 48-hour NOEC = 11.7 mg/L

3) Aquatic Alga:
The 72-hour cell density EC50 = 9.99 mg/L
The 72-hour cell yield EyC50 = 10.5 mg/L
The 72-hour cell growth inhibition ErC50 =26.7 mg/L
The 72 -hour NOEC 25 mg/L, respectively.

Beside those acute studies discussed above, a GLP and OECD guideline long-term (21-day) aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia) was also conducted and rthe chronic toxicity values are the following:

The LOEC and MATC for survival, reproduction, and length and weight (at study termination) were >11.7 mg/L.

The NOEC for survival, reproduction, and length and weight (at study termination) was 11.7 mg/L.
