- Preliminary screening test
The pile ignited with a small blue/orange
flame which self-extinguished 2 seconds after the Bunsen flame was
removed without propagating combustion.
The result of the preliminary screening test
obviated the need to perform the main test.

The determination of the flammability
(solids) of Monofluoroethylene carbonate was performed by measuring the
burning rate of test material prepared as a pile of set dimensions
according to EU Method A.10, under GLP conditions. The test material has
been determined to be not highly flammable as it did not propagate
combustion over the 200 mm of the preliminary screening test.
The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it

The test substance was not deemed to be a flammable solid under standard
guideline tests. It was also not deemend to be self-heating (low melting
point) or pyrophoric/reactive with water releasing flammable gases based
on the handling and use of the substance.
