Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A n-octanol/water distribution coefficient of log Pow = 5.6 was determined for the registration item, generally indicating a potential for bioaccumulation. However, several QSAR applications has been applied to further expolore this. The Catalogic BCF base-line model v.02.09 calculated a logBCF of 3.12 (corresponding to a BCF value of 1318), EpiSuite´s BCFBAF Program (v3.01) estimated a Log BCF =  2.819  (correspondign to a BCF = 659) and the VEGA-BCF Models gave the following results: CAESAR (version 2.1.14) - logBCF = 1.62 (BCF = 41), Meylan (version 1.0.3) - logBCF = 2.82 (BCF = 660), KNN/Read-Across (version 1.1.0) - logBCF = 1.45 (BCF = 28). As apparent from these results, all of these models consistently estimate a low potential for bioaccumulation.

Therefore, based on the information available, the registration item is considered to not significantly accumulate in aquatic organisms.
