Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
The relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.9025 at 20 °C with respect to water at 4 °C.
Executive summary:

A measurement using an oscillating densitimeter was conducted according to OECD 109 and EU A.3 to establish the density of the test substance. The substance was drawn into the measuring cell by an automatic system. No air bubbles were allowed in the cell. After the measuring value was stable, it was recorded. Following parameters applied to the measurement: Range: 0 to 3 g/cm3; Uncertainty of measurement: ± 0.0001 g/cm3; Uncertainty of temperature: ±0.1 °C; Repeatability: ± 0.00003 g/cm3. The relative density was the ratio of the mass of a given volume of the sample at 20 °C to the mass of an equal volume of distilled water at 4 °C. The relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.9025 at 20 °C with respect to water at 4 °C.

Description of key information

The relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.9025 at 20 °C with respect to water at 4 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.902

Additional information

A study using an oscillating densitimeter was conducted according to OECD 109 and EU A.3 to determine the relative density of the test substance. The substance was drawn into the measuring cell by an automatic system without air bubbles. The relative density was the ratio of the mass of a given volume of the sample at 20 °C to the mass of an equal volume of distilled water at 4 °C. The relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.9025 at 20 °C with respect to water at 4 °C.
