Additional information

A study on the short-term toxicity of chromium triacetate to fish is available (Muckle and Rudolf, 2008). The study was conducted according to GLP and OECD 203. Danio rerio were exposed to the test item for 96 hours under semi-static conditions.

The study was performed with adjustment to pH 6 every 12 hours. In that study no precipitation occurred, due to renewal of test medium, and the correlation between nominal and measured concentration was good. No mortality and no signs of illness were observed. The LC50 (96 h) and the NOEC were determined to be >100 mg/L and 100 mg/L, respectively.
