Description of key information

The substance does not contain structural alerts for oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Assessment of the chemical structure and composition of the substance indicates that the material does not contain groups that act as oxidising agents. The oxygen atoms that are present in the molecular structure of the test substance are chemically bonded to carbon and/or hydrogen. Thus, the substance has no oxidising properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the additional criteria for classification under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, Annex I, part 2, 2.13.4, if the molecule does not contain oxygen, fluorine or chlorine (in oxidation state other than -1), or contains these atoms only bonded to carbon or hydrogen, then testing is not required. As a result, this substance does not meet the criteria for classification under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
