No experimental or human data were located on toxicokinetics ofpenta-1,3-diene. The OECD review panel (OECD SIDS, 2005) assumes that penta-1,3-diene may be absorbed and to be metabolized like other diolefins (e.g. isoprene). Mice was predicted to metabolize penta-1,3-diene more efficiently than rat.
Given that this substance is used only in closed industrial systems as monomer/intermediate substance with no dispersive use, human exposure to this chemical (outside industrial premises) will be of minimal concern.
