FAT 46014 is considered to be not biodegradable.

Additional information

The results of a key study performed to determine the ready biodegradability of FAT 46014/G by following OECD test guideline 301C (MITI test) showed 0% biodegradation at the end of 14 days. A supporting study which was carried according to Regulation DEV DIN 38409 - H 41-1 (1980) corresponding to 92/96/EEC C.6, showing a range of COD of 1040-1250 mg O2/g. In addition, several supporting studies estimating BOD5 and COD of FAT 46014 are available, in each such case the BOD5/COD quotient was <0.5, therefore the substance is not indicative of rapid degradation. Thus, taking the data from key study and supporting studies into account, FAT 46014 is considered to be not biodegradable.
