Irritant / corrosive response data:
Animals 1 and 3 had slight erythema after 1 h of exposure. This effect was fully reversible within 1 day.
Other effects:
The substance caused brown discolouration of the treated skin in all animals.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not classified within the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008)
Conclusions:
Test substance was not irritating when applied to the intact rabbit skin.
Executive summary:

The purpose of this study was to assess the irritation potential upon application of test substance to the intact skin of rabbits for 4 h. The study followed the protocol as given in OECD guideline 404.

Under the conditions of the study, 3/3 rabbits showed no signs of erythema and edema at 24, 48 and 72 h time points, i.e. score 0 for both erythema and oedema. 2/3 rabbits showed very slight erythema 1 h after the removal of the substance; the irritation was reversible within 24 hours.

In the area of application, brown staining of the treated skin by test article was observed. No corrosive effect occurred on the skin and no signs of systemic intoxication were observed in any of the rabbits.

According to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), no classification applies.
