Short-term toxicity data are available for ATMP-N-oxide-5K (CAS 213997-05-8) and the structurally analogous substance ATMP-H (CAS 6419-19-8).

Fish: A 96 h LC50 value of 310 mg active acid/L (reliability 2, RBM 1991) with ATMP-N-oxide-5K.

Invertebrates: 48 h EC50 value of 260 mg active acid/L (reliability 4, RBM 1991) with ATMP-N-oxide-5K. This study has been assigned reliability 4, however it does add weight of evidence to indicate the low toxicity of the substance as the result is supported by the data available with ATMP-H.

Invertebrates: 48 h EC50 values of 297 and 94 mg active acid/l for Daphnia magna (freshwater) and Acartia tonsa (marine) respectively, for ATMP-H.

Algae: 96h EC50 12.39 mg active acid/L based on biomass (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata), Monsanto 1992.

Reliable long term toxicity data with ATMP-H (CAS 6419-19-8) are also available:

Fish: 60 d NOEC value of 23 mg active acid/l for Salmo gairdneri (new name: Oncorhynchus mykiss)

Invertebrates: 28 d NOEC value of ≥25 mg/l for Daphnia magna
