Description of key information

According to Column 2 of 1907/2006/EC Annex VII this study does not need to be conducted on Cashmeran 'normal' as it is marketed in a non-solid or granular form.
Cashmeran FF consists of white crystals that are stuck together by the moisture in the test substance and looks like soda and its particle size distribution cannot be determined. It can be concluded that the substance does not consist of any particles of an inhalable size.

Additional information

Cashmeran exists in two forms, which are both mono-constituents. The Cashmeran 'normal' is a liquid and Cashmeran FF is a solid.

For Cashmeran 'normal' the granulometry cannot be performed. The granulometry of cannot be determined either for Cashmeran FF. It cannot be analysed by laser diffraction because the crystals are stuck together by the moisture in test substance. In addition, moisture droplets formed in a dispersing solvent, interfere with the measurement of particle size of the crystals. Sieving is not an alternative since the test substance sticks to the sieves. Based on this it is concluded that it is technically not possible to determine the particle size distribution of the test substance in the commercial form in which it was supplied.

Both forms of Cashmeran are marketed in a non-solid or granular form and therefore overall conclusion is that Cashmeran is treated as a liquid.
