Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates testing data is available for the p-isomer therefore a read across approach has been utilised to fulfill this endpoint.

Determination of the acute short-term toxicity of m-(2,3 -epoxypropoxy)-N,N-bis(2,3 -epoxypropyl)aniline in Daphnia magna. For further details of the read across please see document enclosed in Chapter 13.

Additional information

In the key study experiment, a 48 -h acute toxicity study, water fleas (Daphnia magna) were exposed to m-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-N,N-bis(2,3 -epoxypropyl)aniline under static conditions at the following nominal concentrations (final test): (blank-control), 0.10, 0.32, 1.0, 3.2, 10, 32 and 100% of the water soluble fraction prepared at 100 mg/L. The test substance did not induce significant acute immobilisation of Daphnia magna at 10 mg/L after 48 hours of exposure based on analytically confirmed nominal exposure concentrations. The 48h-EC50 was 18 mg/L based on analytically confirmed nominal exposure concentrations (95% confidence interval between 10 and 32 mg/L) The study is reliable without restrictions.
