Additional information

Hydrolysis testing is not considered necessary for barium diboron tetraoxide as the ionic structure is expected to dissociate into the Ba2+ ion and the metaborate-2 ion in water. As such, no chemical reaction with water takes place and hydrolysis testing is scientifically unjustified.
