Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
498.32 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
101.2 mg/L

Additional information

One study investigating the toxicity of the test substance to freshwater algae is available. The study was performed according to GLP and OECD guideline 201 using Desmodesmus subspicatus as test organism (Wehrhahn 2010). The test material was applied to the medium, stirred for 24 h and filtered subsequently. Analytical monitoring in water was attempted, but did not give relaibly results due to hydrolysis. Therefore effects were attributed to the nominal concentration. All validity criteria were fulfilled. The growth rate EC50 was determined to be 498.32 mg/L and the EC10 was determined to be 101.20 mg/L based on nominal concentrations.
