Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Chemical analysis verified the presence of MTBE in the exposure part of the test system. The measured mean value is 15.76 µg/L with low variation. The obtained results indicate that the eels do not seem to avoid MTBE exposure at the concentrations tested.

The reference studies showed that the presence of eels in the Zn impact zone (both 10 and 30 mg/L) was significantly lower than the control zone. The test design can thus be assumed to react adequately in relation to avoidance reactions.
