- Executive summary:
Aerobic biodegradation is expected to be the major loss process in soil and water; volatilization may become competitive in shallow water. Acetonitrile will persist for long periods in the troposphere; wet deposition may reduce atmospheric acetonitrile (Howard, 1991).
